Debug trace Click Start all, then read/copy the trace. Watch for: latency climbing unbounded (catch-up dead) · buffer → 0 (starvation) · live edge advancing while ct frozen (playback wedged, delivery fine).

Both players use hls.js low-latency mode (partial segments + blocking playlist reload). Latency is measured against each playlist's EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME, anchored locally by the origin (also exposed at /time). The on-screen burned-in clock lets you visually confirm the CDN path's added delay versus hitting the origin domain directly.
